Brodhead Wedding
Brodhead is a city in Green County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 3,180 at the 2000 census. In February 2000, the city annexed a portion of land from the Town of Spring Valley in Rock County.
Just west of town is an historic marker for the Half-Way Tree, a bur oak which was allegedly named by Native Americans as the halfway point on a foot trail between Lake Michigan and the Mississippi River.[1] Brodhead is located at 42377N, 892235W (42.618540, -89.376291)GR1.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.2 km (1.6 mi), all land. As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 3,180 people, 1,301 households, and 876 families residing in the city. The population density was 753.3/km (1,956.1/mi). There were 1,355 housing units at an average density of 321.0/km (833.5/mi). The racial makeup of the city was 98.05% White, 0.28% African American, 0.03% Native American, 0.25% Asian, 0.53% from other races, and 0.85% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.97% of the population.
